The Senseless Rebellion

2 Chronicles 7:14 says: "If my people, who are called, by my name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and heal their land."

Right now, our world is participating in a rebellion. It's not a rebellion with guns and war, but rather a spiritual rebellion. We are currently rebelling against God Almighty, the God who created us! But here's the thing, even though we continue to live in our sin and wave our fist at the heavens, God still loves us. In fact, He knew long ago that we would rebel like this. And yet, He still gave up HIS ONLY SON to die on the cross in our place. Jesus bore our sins on His shoulders upon that cross so that we wouldn't have to! Isn't that incredible?!?! That someone loves you so much that they're willing to die for you, even though they know how you're just going to keep hurting them with your sin! And Jesus, after rising again on the third day, is sitting in Heaven waiting for you to accept Him as your Saviour and join Him one day. Wow. That's so amazing!

But you must be thinking, "How can anyone love me that much? Even after all the horrible things I've done!"

Well, let me tell you. We've all done things we're not proud of. And we all have sinned (Romans 3:23). In the world's eyes, my sin may be greater than yours, or vice versa. But in God's eyes, all sin is the same. It doesn't matter how bad we mess up or how many times we fail, God still loves us. No matter what, He will always love us.

And today, we sit in a world that is up to its knees in rebellion and sin. We continue to let governments legalize what God says is not right, and we let people hurt each other is acts of terrible violence, and yet we sit. We sit, and we watch, and we rant on social media, and then we go to bed and get up the next morning as though it never happened.

But now, now we must take a stand. We must go out to every corner of the earth, starting with our own backyards, and share the Gospel with everyone we see. We MUST tell everyone the good news! We must tell them about JESUS!! It's time to turn back to God, admit our wrongs, repent of our sins, and run after God with all our hearts, all our souls, and all our minds.
