Boundless Love

Romans 8:38-39 says:

"38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Once we accept Christ as our Saviour, nothing can take away our salvation. No matter what we say or how many times we mess up, nothing can separate us from God. A lot of times we are enveloped in feelings of guilt and shame...we think God would never want someone who keeps sinning over and over again. We think God would never want someone that would keep hurting Him and disobeying Him like we do. We think God would never want someone like us. But that's where we are wrong. God is endlessly faithful because His love is boundless. God's love isn't what we think love is. In today's society, love is associated with physical attraction and desire. But God's love has nothing to do with how we look or what we do. God loved us before we existed. He knew us before He created us in our mother's womb! And even though He knew we would hurt Him with our sins, He loved us anyways, and He still does. Sometimes, it's easy to forget that. We sometimes think of God as an Almighty Enforcer that we have to please with our actions or face direr consequences. And yes, it is true that God despises sin. But He loves us more than He despises it. And because of that, He sent His Son to take our place and rise again so that we wouldn't have to suffer. Can you imagine a love like that? A love so deep, so awesome that no matter what, you will have it? It's breath-taking!

So remember, no matter what you do, no matter how hard you fall, God still loves you and is waiting with open arms!
